Black Sacramento, International Faith Based Coalition, Black Farmers and Agriculturalists Association and a broad based coalition of organizations will sponsor the Rosa Parks Day Dinner Awards Celebration on Saturday, February 6, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Sacramento Riverfront Promenade, 100 Capitol Mall, Sacramento, CA.
The theme for this year's event is "Spirit of Water… Tribute to Dear Rosa.”
A Gala Black History Month Reception and Fundraiser for the International Faith Based Coalition and the Black Sacramento Gold Rush Pioneers Project will provide ongoing education and advocacy programs needed support.
“This event is shaping up to be a very wonderful evening and will be an important opportunity to celebrate the faith and courage of Rosa Parks” according to Michael Harris event executive producer. “The event is designed not only to honor our award winners for their hard work over the years, but to also bring California communities together in the spirit of unity to honor the legacy of Rosa Parks.
The program, starting at 7:00 p.m., will include special guest speakers as well as keynote speaker Bishop Dr. Ron Allen, International Faith Based Coalition. We will announce the winners of the Rosa Parks Day Awards, individuals and groups that have made exceptional efforts in addressing complex and challenging issues with require faith and courage.
